Sitting on a 70 mile trail system in the amazing Winona Forest- a nearly 10,000 acre New York State Forest Preserve, the Winona Lodge was constructed in 1990 as a Swiss-style chalet- made for withstanding the heavy snow loads that have earned the Tug Hill Plateau Region of New York State the reputation for being one of the snowiest places east of the Rockies.  Average annual snowfall for a season is between 200-300 inches.  Much of the immediate trail system is groomed with a variety of challenging terrain.

The setting will inspire your love for winter sports- whether it’s Cross-Country Skiing, Snowshoeing, Dog Sled Mushing, or Snowmobiling.
